CH34x USB-UART Driver — Documentation Text (Plain Text)

CH34x USB-UART Driver

The CH34x USB-to-UART driver enables stable serial communication between your PC and TritonSensing devices that use CH340/CH341-based USB bridge chips.

This driver is required for proper device recognition when using TritonSensing desktop software such as:

  • TS-Pulse (Easy Flasher)

  • TritonSensing Logger

  • TS-SerialMonitor

  • And other upcoming TritonSensing AIoT utilities

Installing the latest CH34x driver ensures fast COM-port detection, reliable firmware flashing, and smooth real-time data logging during device configuration and monitoring.

Included Chipset Support

  • CH340

  • CH341

  • Other compatible CH34x family variants

Why This Driver Is Required

TritonSensing devices rely on USB-to-UART communication for flashing firmware, receiving sensor logs, and exchanging configuration commands.

Without the CH34x driver, Windows may fail to assign a COM port or may disconnect randomly during high-speed data transfer.

The updated driver improves:

  • Stability of USB connection

  • Compatibility with Windows 10/11 (x64)

  • Performance of firmware flashing

  • Real-time data streaming reliability

  • USB-C/USB-A adapter support

Installation Guide (Windows 10/11)

  1. Download the CH34x driver package (ZIP file).

  2. Extract the ZIP to any folder.

  3. Locate the file SETUP.EXE or CH34x_Install.exe.

  4. Right-click the installer and select “Run as administrator”.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions until installation completes.

  6. After installation, reconnect your TritonSensing device.

  7. Confirm that a COM port appears under Device Manager → Ports (COM & LPT).

Manual Installation (If Auto-Install Fails)

  1. Extract the ZIP file.

  2. Open Device Manager.

  3. Find the device marked with ! or unknown USB device.

  4. Right-click → Update Driver.

  5. Choose Browse my computer for drivers.

  6. Select the folder containing the extracted CH34x driver files.

  7. Complete the installation.

When to Install This Driver

Install the CH34x driver if you experience:

  • “Device not recognized” errors

  • No COM port appearing

  • Frequent disconnections

  • Failed firmware flashing

  • Incomplete or corrupted serial data

This driver is recommended for all TritonSensing users working with CH34x-based devices.
